My mom’s hobby is looking at real estate on the internet. I must say, it paid off. They’re closing on a small cozy lakehouse that needs some renovations, and we’re likely selling our old place. This place is awesome. It has like, beds… It was built in ‘63, some of the furniture is mega old- I love it. It’s within biking distance of a park, and directly across the road is a fish hatchery pond owned by the AG&FC. Oh, and some of the supports in the basement are kind of leaning over, and the inspector said the roof will last 5 more years.
I’m really excited to see what kind of park there is. Bonus: 30 minutes less of a drive than our old place, and not a patch of gravel. Asphalt!
Procrastinating.
Denny’s Grand Slamwich not recommended for college students. It’s too huge, tastes mediocre, and makes for bad leftovers.
Today I had to draw a still life in basic drawing. It’s been so long since I’ve drawn anything, and I’m way out of practice. I hardly knew how to drag the pen across the paper. No more sketchy lines— they’re not allowed. We have to be smooth and confident, like a penis. My teacher didn’t say the penis thing. I forgot how much I love drawing though. After High School I just stopped doing it since I’d decided to focus on photography.
I’m in college. The professor is talking about when he went to a football game. He even brought a football history textbook. “You know, I went to that game (Texas vs. Arkansas. It’s like when people say they’ve been to Woodstock. You know, Woodstock was actually on the same day. I didn’t go to Woodstock though.”
Riveting. One of the players had a type of bone cancer and played the entire game without knowing it! That won’t be on the next exam. I’m complaining because I don’ care about sports at all. I don’t mind talking about things that aren’t in the curriculum. “Well, better get off of football. Here’s the role.”
Time to do things.
Our AC is broken. Last night my sister got home from Europe (she was at Oxford, and other places). I say Europe whenever people ask where she was because I believe that all of the places she visited fall under that category, and I’m horrible with geography. Missouri is not on the east coast. “Missouri” was actually typed out as “South Car” just now, but then I remembered. I haven’t used Tumblr in foreeever.
I’ve been spending the past two days installing my new computer parts that I bought with the graduation money my aunt sent me. I spent hours and hours sliding my processor over fine-grit sandpaper to get to the shiny coppery finish, just to lower the temps so that heat would transfer better to the new heatsink I got to run games more smoothly.
The most rewarding things are ones that cost the least amount of money and give you the most improvement in something. I love to fix things. That reminded me of how when I was a little kid, there was a green strand of yarn tied tightly around a door knob in the hallway. For years and years it bothered me, but not to the point that I would go and get scissors to cut it off. Eventually I did and it made me feel better. It seems like that habit has stuck with me. I let my room become the biggest wreck, and only clean up once I let it be dirty for a long time. Like a month or something. But anyways, fixing things and making things work better. I guess it’s in my genes, my brother is very knowledgeable with electronics and tools, as is my dad (minus the electronics).
Our economy is so crap right now. It seems like it might be slowly getting better, but I can tell that things aren’t so hot. The gap between upper and lower class really is growing, and the middle class is shrinking just like they say in the news. That bothers me, and until recently I’d never really understood completely why that was bad. When I learned about that in history class, the lower class was extreme poverty or slavery. I guess I kind of thought nothing like that could ever happen again, just because it had already happened. World War II would have surprised me :P.
So many incomplete thoughts. I read in the news that Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister, helped to fight wildfires. He was there in the plane to observe, but suddenly went into the cockpit and acted as the co-pilot and actually acted to help. He wasn’t just sitting there watching or talking about it on the news. What a badass. I wish we had more people like that in our government. It seems like America doesn’t really have a good role model. A role model for everyone to follow- boost morale and stuff. From what I gather, Obama gained presidency because of where he came from, his race, and his articulate nature. For every thing that The President promises and doesn’t deliver on, we’re left standing here wondering why the president is the president. But there’s a lot of propaganda out there against Obama, and maybe he’s doing his job to the fullest and I’ve fallen victim to it too. I keep imagining a perfect man leading us out of this economic struggle, but economically things get worse. It’s doubtful that one president can relieve our debt from China. If we had put up an embargo against them in the first place for being communist (Cuba), we wouldn’t owe them so much money and we might have a thriving economy. I’m just thinking what ifs.
Not sure what’s got me all over politics right now. Just typing what I’m thinking. I could never be a politician myself. It would be nice if the world was perfect, but then it wouldn’t be as fun now, would it :P?
Personally I have nothing I should be complaining about. Life is easy for me because my awesome dad is awesome and has an incredible work ethic. There should be an awesome dads convention where they all get together and talk about realistic initiatives to slowly start improving America’s situation. And then Congress would have to approve at LEAST a set amount or percentage of the ideas. I don’t mean to be sexist when I only say dads, and imagine a great man as the president, that’s just the way that I see things as a boy.
It’s a proven fact that the more the media talks about how bad the economy is, the worse it gets. So it’s a good thing I’m not the media lol. Not trying to be a downer :O. I’m just thinking onto…computer monitor.
We call it
Airsoft pistol I was commissioned $10 to do. The guy in Cali originally wanted it in black and white, but since my white can of spray paint decided to fail I asked him if he’d let me just do whatever with it, and he said yes. I like how it turned out since it used to be clear plastic :D.
FSGfadfdas I finally finished this painting that I started so long ago. It’s not based on anything and doesn’t represent anything really, just something that started as a small sketch from my head and changed a whole lot.

This duo is really amazing. I just bought their album “Drunken Trees” on iTunes. Their music is really chill.
